1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how beatoko ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use AIReminder and related services.

AIReminder is an object-memory assistant that lets you save, find, and organize object locations using text, voice, and optional photos.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use AIReminder.

2. Scope

This policy applies to AIReminder mobile and web clients, backend APIs, and supporting infrastructure used to provide the service.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

3.1 Anonymous account and authentication data

  • Anonymous user identifier generated by the backend.
  • Access token (JWT) used to authenticate requests.

AIReminder currently uses anonymous authentication. You are not required to create an email/password account to use core features.

3.2 User content

  • Text messages you send to the assistant.
  • Object memory data you create, such as item names, locations, categories, tags, aliases, notes, and interaction history.
  • Clarification choices and suggested actions selected in the app.

3.3 Voice and media data

  • Voice recordings you upload for speech-to-text.
  • Transcribed voice text generated from uploaded audio.
  • Photos you upload and attach to memory events.
  • Media metadata (type, content type, storage key, timestamps).

3.4 Client and technical context

  • Locale/language, timezone, and device context sent in client requests.
  • App version/platform context needed for compatibility and debugging.

3.5 Service diagnostics and security logs

  • Error logs, request metadata, and security-related events used to keep the service reliable and secure.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide AIReminder core functionality (save/find/update/delete memories).
  • Process text and voice interactions with AI routing and execution.
  • Store and retrieve photos and media linked to memories.
  • Personalize formatting and behavior based on locale/timezone preferences.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures.
  • Improve product quality and feature reliability.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. AI Processing and Service Providers

AIReminder uses third-party providers to process some requests:

  • AI provider(s) for intent routing, embeddings, and speech-to-text processing.
  • Cloud/storage/database infrastructure providers for hosting, persistence, and media storage.

We only share data needed to perform each service function.

6. Legal Bases (where applicable)

Depending on your jurisdiction, legal bases may include:

  • Contract: to provide the service features you request.
  • Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, reliability, and product improvement.
  • Consent: where required by law for specific optional processing.
  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws and lawful requests.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only:

  • With processors/service providers operating AIReminder under our instructions.
  • To comply with legal requirements or lawful requests.
  • To protect rights, safety, and service integrity.

AIReminder does not include social/community posting features by default, so your memory content is not publicly visible unless you explicitly share it outside the app.

8. Advertising and Analytics

AIReminder does not rely on advertising SDKs for core operation.

If analytics or ads are added in future versions, this policy will be updated and platform requirements (including consent prompts when required) will be followed.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

Current deletion controls in AIReminder include:

  • Delete one item.
  • Delete by category.
  • Delete by location.

Signing out removes local authentication data from your device but does not automatically delete server-side memory data.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Request data portability, where applicable.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

11. Children's Privacy

AIReminder is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact support@beatoko.dev so we can take appropriate steps.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

13. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed 100% secure.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
